I am neophite to cigars and I have not nor will I ever touch cigarettes or pipetobaccos. I actually enjoy cigars especially to relax. As such with this “case” (humidor?) I can take some sticks with me camping, hiking and mountain climbing. The case IS waterproof, crushproof and reliant to rather large shocks and hits. Awesome!
My only concern is why humidor is tossed into this products discription yet to also have “short term” storage used to describe it. Is this like a TUBO where one can store cigars basically forever so as long as the right humidity is kept? Or is this like putting cigars into glove box for a road trip?
the mysteries:
1. I cannot understand nor can I find anything about how long I can store my cigars in this “travel case”. I have charged the “case”‘s humidor with some distilled water per instructions on [..] website.
2. I want to find out info about the cigarcaddy’s 30 stick cigar “case”/humidor but I cannot tell the difference between the 30 stick MADELAINE “case” and the 30 stick cigarcaddy “case”.
3. What on earth is this brand “x-treme”?! I cannot find it save for pictures ong google that depict cigar cases like this brand’s! So, if there are different brands why not have different looks? If they are all just one case with multiple names, why all the hassel?

the case is great and sells at shops for 25+ dollars but the sponge in my caddy was thin and did not hold the moisture in. I took it out and bought a drymistat tube with the clear crystals and filled it with the xikar solution and it works great. Maintains a 70% rh.

This thing works well. Very heavy duty to protect your smokes. I don’t think I’d want to keep my smokes in it too long but good for a few day trip. It is kinda bulky though so probably get a good tube for just carrying a single cigar with you.

The size is perfect for a weekend away if you’re a light smoker otherwise I would recommend the next size up. The built in humidifier worked perfectly

I ride my motorcycle a lot and in Arizona a cigar does not last long outside a humidor! I bought this primarily for road trips to keep the cigars from drying out or getting busted up. The Caddy works great and is durable enough for your finest cigars. I typically smoke cigars with a ring of 52 and 7″ long churchill style which is pushing the advertised 5 cigar capacity. The lenght is not a problem just the width. I take four so I don’t smash the cigars. A ring of 48 or less would probably allow for 5 cigars in this sturdy case. All in all a good value that will keep your favorite cigars safe on a journey.
